Janice Wood

Janice is a Director with the Overture Group, LLC with 25 years of broad-based compensation experience in private and public companies across multiple industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, retail, technology, and non-profits.  Prior to consulting, Janice directed compensation for both large and small life science and manufacturing companies in global and domestic roles. 

Janice brings a high-level of expertise through a collaborative approach to competitive market analyses, base and incentive program assessments for executive/management/ sales positions, job architecture, and compensation communications to meet the client's strategic objectives. Janice has also had significant success in multiple organizations with the design and implementation of job analysis/documentation tools and processes as her experience has proven they are an integral foundation to not only compensation benchmarking, but directly impact the success of recruitment, performance management, career paths and development planning. The same job documentation tools also provide the basis for her having successfully managed multiple projects with hundreds of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) assessments and tests, which also mitigate both legal and compliance risks. 

Janice has led the benchmarking for sales organization in multiple industries to identify the right job design and developed pay structures for targeted total compensation,  base pay, career paths and pay mix strategy.  Led the analysis of sales results versus payments and identified targeted improvements and revisions to sales incentive plans. 

A high priority is the understanding of a client’s specific compensation challenges which may arise from hiring, retention, and performance management and she is committed to providing the most effective, sound, and customized compensation solutions.   

Janice has a master's degree in human resources from Rutgers University and is a Certified Compensation Professional.  She is affiliated with both World at Work, The Chicago Compensation Association, and the NJ Compensation Association.  She has been a mentor in Habitat for Humanity and a member and leader of the Rotary Club.
